Description:

Part of the Burgues Birds Collection, one of four bird sculptures he had created. Made of fine pewter and mounted on a wooden base. Signed by the sculptor, Mr. Irving Burgues. This is a solid, heavy piece with great detail.

Signed and Dated 1975 Irving C. Burgues Fine Pewter Sculpture of a Great White Heron. Burgues was born in Austria in 1906 and and emigrated to the United States in 1940.
